How do you stay motivated when working on long-term projects?
I've noticed that I always start long projects with a lot of energy, but after a few weeks I slowly lose focus. It happened again while I was building a personal website after work. The first part was exciting, but now I'm constantly telling myself I'll continue tomorrow. I don't want to quit because I know I'll be happy once it's finished. For those of you who actually stick with long projects, what keeps you going when the excitement disappears?

That sounds really familiar. I used to think motivation was something that would magically come back, but it rarely did. What helped me was making my goals much smaller and tracking tiny bits of progress instead of looking at the entire project. Even finishing one small task gave me enough momentum to keep going the next day. I also started limiting distractions because I realized I was switching to social media without even noticing. I found a few practical ideas while browsing,
especially about creating routines and using simple tools to stay focused instead of relying on willpower alone. None of it was a miracle solution, but combining a few small habits made a surprisingly big difference over time
